45C Crimes Against Persons

This module prepares security professionals to recognize and respond appropriately to crimes against persons within educational environments. Participants will examine threats, assault and battery incidents, temporary restraining orders (TROs) and stay-away orders, and situations involving missing persons. The training emphasizes recognizing warning signs, protecting students, staff, and visitors, and taking appropriate action while following established school procedures. Participants will also strengthen their understanding of professional communication, documentation, and coordination with school administration and law enforcement. By completing this module, participants will be better prepared to identify potential risks, respond effectively to serious incidents, and support a safe and secure learning environment.
