Electronic records and signatures
Version 1 · Effective November 3, 2026
Electronic records and signatures
This consent is its own step. It is not part of the Worker Terms of Use, and it is not a consumer-report disclosure or authorization. It is given under the federal E-SIGN Act and the California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
Your employer, or a company you apply to, uses MyGuardForce to give you documents to read and sign, such as policies, forms, acknowledgements and reports, and, when they apply, the separate Disclosure Regarding Consumer Reports, the separate Authorization to Obtain Consumer Reports, and the separate California Investigative Consumer Report Disclosure. By consenting on this step, you agree to receive those documents and to sign them electronically in MyGuardForce, for any company you work for or apply to. Your electronic signature has the same effect as your signature on paper, as far as the law allows.
MyGuardForce records your signature in MyGuardForce. No outside e-signature company is used.
- Copies. You can get an electronic copy of any document you sign in MyGuardForce, ask for a printed copy sent by post, or ask to sign on paper instead. To ask, write to MyGuardForce at 10866 Washington Blvd #309, Culver City, CA 90232, call 310-838-2787, or email info@myguardforce.com. An electronic copy by email, or a PDF downloaded from the account, is free. A printed copy sent by post is $14.50 per copy, covering printing and postage.
- Withdrawing your consent. You can withdraw your consent to electronic records and signatures at any time. To withdraw, write to MyGuardForce at 10866 Washington Blvd #309, Culver City, CA 90232, call 310-838-2787, or email info@myguardforce.com. You can also withdraw in MyGuardForce on the Electronic records and signatures page. Withdrawing applies from then on: it does not cancel a document you already signed, and later disclosures and authorizations, including FCRA disclosures and authorizations, can be completed on paper.
- What you need. Requirements version 1. To sign electronically you need a phone, tablet or computer with internet access, a web browser that MyGuardForce supports, and an email address where MyGuardForce can reach you. To keep a copy of what you sign you also need a way to save or print it. If these requirements change in a material way, MyGuardForce asks you for this consent again.
- Your job does not depend on this. You may choose paper instead of consenting. Choosing paper, or withdrawing later, does not by itself end your employment or your application when a paper path is available.
- What this does not change. This consent is about electronic records and signatures only. It does not change what a document says, and it does not take away any notice, disclosure or right that the law does not let you give up.
