Worker Terms of Use
Version 1 · Effective October 26, 2026
These Worker Terms of Use are between AEGIS Security & Investigations Inc., doing business as MyGuardForce ("MyGuardForce", "we"), and you, as a guard, employee or applicant who uses MyGuardForce through a company. Our Privacy Policy also applies.
Your licence records in MyGuardForce
Your employer, or a company you apply to, uses MyGuardForce to keep track of the security licences, registrations and permits you need for your job. Here is what that means for you.
- What we check. MyGuardForce looks up public records kept by the licensing agency that issued your credential, such as California's Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. We check things like your guard card number, licence type, status (for example "Active" or "Suspended"), and issue and expiration dates.
- How often. While you are an active employee, we check these records automatically where the agency makes that possible. How often depends on the agency: for BSIS in California, it is usually at least once a day. Checks stop when you leave the company.
- Who sees it. Your employer sees your licence status. If your employer has turned it on, a customer of your employer where you are assigned may see your licence type, its status according to the agency, when it was last checked and when it expires. If your employer has also turned them on, that customer may see your certifications and training, with their status and expiry dates. We do not sell your licence information.
- Your profile is yours to share. You can choose to share your MyGuardForce profile, such as your licences, certificates, training and work history, with a company you pick. Each share lasts 90 days, and you can stop it at any time.
- What happens if there is a problem. If an agency record shows your licence as not active, your employer may hold you from new shifts, because state law does not allow an unlicensed person to work as a security guard.
- If something is wrong. The agency's own record controls, so if the agency has an error, you will need to contact the agency to correct it. For California, that is BSIS at bsis.ca.gov.
- Your privacy rights. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights, including your California privacy rights.
