Workplace Violence Prevention SB 553 Training
This course provides comprehensive workplace violence prevention training aligned with California Senate Bill 553 (SB 553), preparing security professionals to recognize, assess, prevent, and respond to potential workplace threats. It covers unusual behavior and body language, situational awareness, workplace violence warning signs and prevention strategies, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering, communication and de-escalation, interdisciplinary threat assessment, and emergency response procedures. Participants strengthen their ability to identify concerning behavior, gather and communicate relevant information, support coordinated threat assessment and prevention efforts, and respond professionally when incidents escalate. Through practical prevention and response principles, the course builds the awareness, judgment, communication skills, and operational readiness needed to support a safer workplace and effective violence prevention program.
