Security Awareness in the Educational Environment

This course provides comprehensive training in security awareness for educational environments, preparing security professionals to recognize risks, prevent incidents, and respond effectively to situations that may affect campus safety. Participants will develop practical skills in detecting weapons and unusual behavior, conducting lawful searches, managing potential danger situations, and working on private property that is open to the public. The course also covers crowd management, suspicious activity reporting, crime scene responsibilities, and evidence preservation. Through practical security principles and real-world applications, participants will strengthen situational awareness, professional judgment, and their ability to identify developing threats, take appropriate preventive action, and protect students, staff, visitors, and school property.
