This module prepares security professionals to recognize and respond to suspicious mail and packages using established Emergency Action Plans (EAPs). It covers common warning signs and unusual package characteristics, initial risk assessment, appropriate reporting and notification procedures, actions that should be avoided to prevent escalating the hazard, and how to determine when evacuation may be necessary. Participants will develop a structured approach to assessing potential threats, coordinating an appropriate response, and helping protect people and facilities.
