74D Open Source Intelligence Gathering

This module introduces security professionals to Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering as a tool for identifying potential threats and concerning behaviors before they escalate into workplace violence. Participants learn how publicly available information, including social media activity and information obtained through friends, family, and appropriate subject interaction, can contribute to a broader threat assessment. The training emphasizes structured information gathering, monitoring and assessment, and the importance of remaining within ethical and legal boundaries. By completing this module, participants will strengthen their ability to recognize early warning signs, gather relevant information responsibly, and support timely threat prevention and intervention efforts.
