    This comprehensive E-learning module is designed to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the legal standards governing the use of force. Through engaging and informative content, learners will gain critical insights into the implications and requirements associated with the application of force in various contexts. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand Legal Standards for Use of Force: Grasp the foundational legal principles and their implications concerning the use of force. Recognize the Duty to Intercede: Identify the legal obligations requiring individuals to intervene in situations involving the use of force. Understand Implicit and Explicit Bias: Learn to recognize and address both implicit and explicit biases that may influence decisions and actions.     5H Objective Use of Force

    This module offers a thorough education on the principles of objectively reasonable use of force. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, participants will learn to discern when and how force should be applied in a lawful and measured manner. Learning Outcomes: Participants who complete this course will gain the ability to: Identify Situations for Reasonable Force: Evaluate and determine scenarios where the application of objectively reasonable force is appropriate. Analyze Contributing Factors: Understand the various factors that necessitate the use of force and how to assess them critically. Grasp Authority Responsibilities: Appreciate the responsibilities that come with the authority to use force, emphasizing ethical and responsible decision-making. Course Highlights: Introduction to Use of Force: An introductory segment covering the foundational principles and legal considerations surrounding the use of force. Understanding the Use of Force Continuum: A detailed examination of the force continuum, illustrating the escalation and de-escalation of force in different circumstances.     This module is designed to train the participant to understand biases which may be present during Use of Force situations: This course will teach the participant: Mental health bias Political bias Racial bias Cultural bias Bias is a human trait resulting from our tendency and need to classify individuals into categories as we strive to quickly process information and make sense of the world.

    5L Communication and Use of Force

    This E-learning module is specifically designed to train participants on the acceptable responses and communication techniques related to the use of force. Through this course, learners will gain crucial knowledge and skills to handle force-related situations effectively and safely. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the Importance of Interpersonal Communication: Recognize the role of effective communication in managing and de-escalating potentially violent situations. De-escalation and Avoiding Escalation: Learn techniques to de-escalate tense situations and avoid actions that could lead to violence. Managing Disabilities or Behavioral Issues: Acquire specific strategies for addressing and managing individuals with disabilities or behavioral issues in force-related scenarios. Tactics for Using Time, Distance, Cover, and Concealment: Master tactics that leverage time, distance, cover, and concealment to handle force responses effectively and safely.

    This module is designed to train the participant to understand the responsibilities a supervisor has with regards to Use of Force situations: Ensuring force is reduced as compliance is gained Contacting police and EMS quickly Guiding officers to complete incident reports Debriefing, identifying, and training what went right and where there are opportunities to improve By engaging with these core components, participants will emerge equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill their supervisory duties effectively in Use of Force situations, thereby promoting accountability, professionalism, and safety within their respective domains.

    5N Active Shooter Response

    This online active shooter and workplace violence response program is designed to provide essential information to keep you safe in the event of an active shooter or similar type of attack. It has been crafted in a unique and immersive online program that challenges participants to make split-second decisions that could be the difference between life and death. Key elements of the training include: Situational awareness Personal preparedness Understanding threat vectors Evacuation techniques Finding cover and concealment Lockdown methodology Tactics to fight back as a last resort Case study scenarios Participants will learn proven techniques on taught by security experts based on the Run, Hide, Fight methodology. This online active shooter training is designed for civilians and private sector professionals to increase their personal resiliency and the likelihood of surviving an incident before the police arrive. By the end of the online course, participants will have a thorough understanding of how active shooter incidents evolve, increasing their resiliency.

    Training programs historically are instructor-based lectures that do not engage participants’ core understanding of the principles learned during a course. In this module, we will apply an understanding of the use of force principles based on our environment in a realistic and meaningful way. Scenarios Include: High-frequency low-impact situations Low-frequency high-impact situations Shoot don't shoot scenarios Less-Than-Lethal Real-Time Decision Making By immersing participants in these realistic scenarios and encouraging active decision-making, this module equips them with the practical skills and confidence needed to navigate use of force situations effectively and responsibly within our unique operational context.

    This module is designed to train the participant to understand the responsibilities a supervisor has with regards to Use of Force situations: This course will teach the participant the following: Ensure force is reduced as compliance is gained Contacting police and EMS quickly Guiding officers to complete incident reports Debriefing and training what went right and could have gone better Through interactive learning experiences and practical skill-building exercises, participants will emerge from this course equipped with the knowledge, tools, and leadership capabilities necessary to fulfill their supervisory duties effectively and ethically in the complex realm of Use of Force situations.
