10A Introduction to Emergency Responses

This module introduces essential emergency response principles for security professionals, including identifying and assessing emergencies, contacting 911 appropriately, and applying key protective actions such as duck and cover, evacuation, lockdown, and emergency response procedures.

10B Earthquake - tornado EAPS

This module covers essential earthquake and tornado preparedness and response procedures for security professionals, including immediate protective actions, emergency readiness, critical supplies and equipment, and appropriate actions to help protect themselves and others during severe natural disasters.

10C Fire EAPS

This module covers fire emergency response procedures for security professionals, including Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), fire extinguisher and hose use, evacuation procedures, contacting 911, and recognizing the unique response considerations associated with man-made fires and wildfires.

10D Bombing Threats EAPs

This module covers bomb threat response procedures for security professionals, including handling threats received by phone, email, or letter, documenting critical information, assessing potential threats, coordinating with law enforcement, and implementing appropriate Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).

10E Medical Emergency/Cardiac Arrest EAPs

This module covers Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) for medical emergencies, including assessing and responding to unresponsive individuals, cardiac arrest, choking, and severe bleeding, with emphasis on rapid recognition and appropriate emergency response procedures.

10F Active Shooter Response

This module provides essential active shooter and workplace violence response training, covering situational awareness, personal preparedness, threat vectors, evacuation techniques, cover and concealment, lockdown procedures, and critical decision-making during an attack. Participants will explore realistic scenarios and the Run, Hide, Fight methodology, including appropriate last-resort response considerations, to better understand how active shooter incidents evolve and how to respond before law enforcement arrives.

10G Suspicious Mail/Packages EAPs

This module prepares security professionals to recognize and respond to suspicious mail and packages using established Emergency Action Plans (EAPs). It covers common warning signs and unusual package characteristics, initial risk assessment, appropriate reporting and notification procedures, actions that should be avoided to prevent escalating the hazard, and how to determine when evacuation may be necessary. Participants will develop a structured approach to assessing potential threats, coordinating an appropriate response, and helping protect people and facilities.

10H Riot and Civil Disorder Disturbance EAPs

This module prepares security professionals to recognize, assess, and respond to riots, civil disturbances, protests, and demonstrations through appropriate Emergency Action Plans (EAPs). It covers identifying catalyst events and early warning signs, proactive measures to reduce the potential for escalation, lockdown procedures to protect people and property, and essential actions for maintaining safety during an active civil disturbance. Participants will develop practical strategies for anticipating changing conditions, making informed decisions, and responding effectively in unpredictable and potentially high-risk situations.
