18B Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Preparedness

This module prepares security professionals to strengthen workplace readiness for violence, active shooter incidents, and other security emergencies through proactive planning and preparedness. It covers assessing organizational capabilities and vulnerabilities, developing and testing security and emergency plans, establishing effective policies and procedures, and using training exercises and drills to evaluate readiness. Participants will learn how structured preparedness can identify weaknesses before an incident occurs, improve coordinated emergency response, reduce potential losses of life, time, and resources, and help organizations respond more effectively when critical threats arise.
