45G Mandated Reporting

This module prepares security professionals working in educational environments to recognize reportable incidents and follow established legal and institutional reporting procedures. Participants will examine child abuse recognition and reporting, requirements related to reporting assaults, the role of peace officers in the lawful removal of children from school grounds, and district-specific reporting procedures. The training emphasizes accurate observation and documentation, appropriate chains of command, and the importance of fulfilling reporting responsibilities while protecting students and staff. By completing this module, participants will be better prepared to identify situations requiring action, document relevant information accurately, follow established procedures, and support a safe and legally compliant educational environment.
