45E Weapons of Security on Campus

This module provides security professionals with an understanding of California laws and school policies governing firearms, weapons, and other dangerous objects in educational environments. Participants will examine Gun Free School Zones, firearm restrictions on playgrounds, prohibited weapons and injurious objects, and the legal concept of possession as it relates to campus security. The training emphasizes recognizing potential violations, understanding how weapon restrictions apply on or near school property, and responding appropriately to weapon-related incidents. By completing this module, participants will be better prepared to identify security concerns, apply established school procedures, document incidents appropriately, and support the maintenance of a safe and secure educational environment.
